Vivian McCart of the famous Hall circus family from Evansville, Wisconsin. Like her cousin, Grace May Hall, she took to snake handling at an early age. Wisconsin was known as the mother of America's circuses. Over 100 traveling circuses called Wisconsin home in the second half of the 19th century and the Ringling Brothers from Baraboo became the King of them all. Vivian was a third generation circus performer. She died in 1919 at the age of 23.
